I loved the Pegasus, and stayed for five nights. The staff is very friendly, and the location is the most convenient for doing government business in Georgetown. It is very close to all the historic sites of Georgetown and right on the ocean. It is a very secure area, close to the U.S. embassy and Canadian High Commission.

Some areas of Georgetown are worse than others apparently, but we walked all around the centre without being accompanied by a local or anything. If unsure ask at where you;re staying about areas that are unsafe or best avoided. We had heard so many things about how dangerous Georgetown is, but were pleasantly surprised by the reality actually!
Did a couple of short, day trip tours with Dagron which exceeded all expectations. The Plantation tour and the Demerara River evening tour. Should have done more and will do next visit. Exceptionally well informed tour guides and an inclusive experience, like being welcomed into the home and life of the people we met.
